Nigel has worked at Leyton for nearly 20 years, following a career with BNFL at Capenhurst. Working with the previous owner Iain Raw, he decided to buy the company back in 2012 and has run things since then.
The business has changed dramatically in the last ten years, specifically with more business than ever coming through the company’s two websites. However, Nigel says that despite the Internet, customers still require bespoke information, given the multiplicity of types of fastener available, so phone and face to face is still vital.
Nigel lives locally, in Ellesmere Port, describing his main interests as cars, gardening and Leyton Fasteners!
Being a small locally based business, often in the shadow of the “big boys” we simply have to compete on price, quality AND service…..after 40 years in business, we intend to be around for another few years yet.
