Leyton Fasteners Ltd is a Fastener specialist, based in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, primarily supplying fasteners and fixings to business; we also deal directly with individuals and contractors. Leyton ships to locations across the UK, using either our own transport or carriers. We offer marine related items in A2 and A4 stainless steel grades. We have recently been contacted by a number of individual customers looking for better prices on marine based items than those supplied by local chandleries. As a result we have expanded our range to supply direct to the customer.
Our primary range of products, from stock, is fasteners and fixings such as nuts, bolts, washers, machine screws etc. These are complimented by a range of marine related chandlery items available to order such as chain, wire rope, various shackles, thimbles, hinges, U bolts, pins, rings etc.
The grade of stainless steel required depends on the application and the environment where it is located. For example:
- A2-304 grade has a good resistance to corrosion and can be used for outside work and inside boats but is not recommended for use in severe or hostile industrial and marine conditions.
- A4-316 grade has a greater corrosion resistance than A2-304 and is often used in hostile and severe environments such as sea spray and chemical situations.
A recent addition to our range is LanoShield anti-corrosion grease. This is a product which offers protection against acid, alkaline, corrosion and water and is suitable for use on boats, trailers, cars, machinery and winches to name but a few. It is eco-friendly, non-toxic and 100% natural, available in 5 litre containers with hand sprayer. It’s key features include: water resistant, power wash resistant to 300 psi, salt resistant and is rated as non-hazardous.
