Leyton Fasteners have recently launched their online webshop specifically catering for the classic car and motorcycle enthusiast. Whilst we have had significant demand for our high quality fasteners, tools and consumables from enthusiasts, this is the first time owners can buy online. Whilst offering mixed bags, most of our fasteners are sold in boxes of 100, allowing significant savings for the individual customers.
Classic vehicles from the 1940’s 50’s and 60’s used imperial sizes which are becoming increasingly hard to source, particularly at the right quality. As a result many enthusiasts re-use fasteners rather than replacing them when undertaking service and overhaul. Re-using fasteners can lead to a multitude of problems with rounded heads, rusted bolts and weakening of the fasteners, storing up trouble for the future. Sourcing imperial sizes in stainless is particularly difficult, however, we have strong links, through our commercial business and are able to source all standard imperial sizes, many of which are available on our website.
We are also fortunate that our tool supplier, KING DICK, still manufactures and supplies whitworth spanners and sockets.
