Due to customer demand, we have decided to add three different types of TiN coated drill kits; this adds to our existing range of drill bits, kits and taps.
Two of the kits contain drill bits only; the two ranges of sizes are M1 to M10 and M1 to M13. The third kit includes the second tap for each drill size contained. The range of sizes contained in the kit is M3 to M12. These drills are Lyndon HSS TiN coated drill bits, which are a high quality brand and beneficial type of drill, ‘HSS’ abbreviates for ‘High Speed Steel’. The drill bits are ‘split point’ which means the grade of penetration is increased however, less effort is required. The drills are Titanium Nitrate coated, providing a longer tool life and an improvement in quality of finish from the cut. The advantage over standard drills is the resistance to high temperature and reduced wear due to abrasion.
However, if you require standard drills for private or DIY jobs and uses, we have an excellent stock and can supply a wide range of drills in an “HSS Jobber drill” which is known as the standard version for drill bits, We also, offer Cobalt drills which are of a higher quality in comparison to Jobber drills due to Cobalt being added to the high-speed steel, this ensures that the drill bits can easily drill hard, abrasive materials. Cobalt drills are suitable and advised for usage for tougher applications. For any standard or less important cut, a Jobber drill can be used successfully. Single taps and sets are available from our stock in sizes M2 to M14. The tap sets come with a 1s, 2nd tap and a 3rd tap.
